The VIMOS Ultra Deep Survey (VUDS) Data Release 1 (DR1) [1] is a public release of all the spectroscopic data in the region of overlap between the CANDELS HST [2] imaging survey and VUDS. The data release for 698 objects is distributed over the COSMOS-CANDELS field around 10h00m28.2s+02°21′36″, and the ECDFS field around 03h32m30s-27deg48′00″.
This resource contains the VUDS spectra.
Six FITS files had no data and were not ingested: 530063147, 531005400, 532000212, 532000222, 532000256, and 5101236306.
ASPIC (Archives Spectrophotométriques Publiques Intégrées au CeSAM) is the public spectro-photometric archive of the Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Marseille data-centre (CeSAM, Centre de donnéeS Astrophysiques de Marseille). We give access to spectro-photometric data with value additions like physical parameters, photometric redshifts, and spectra line measurements.
Using the VUDS-DR1 we kindly request that you make reference to the DR1 presentation (Tasca et al. 2016, arXiv:1602.01842), to the VUDS survey reference paper (Le Fèvre et al., 2015, A&A, 576, 79), and acknowledge the use of these data: "Based on data obtained with the European Southern Observatory Very Large Telescope, Paranal, Chile, under Large Program 185.A-0791, and made available by the VUDS team at the CESAM data center, Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Marseille, France." "The HST data matched to the VUDS-DR1 are described in Grogin et al. (2011) and Koekemoer et al. (2011) for CANDELS and include data from the ERS (Windhorst et al. 2011)."
Research work benefiting from the use of ASPIC data at CeSAM should include the following acknowledgement in publications: “This research has made use of the ASPIC database, operated at CeSAM/LAM, Marseille, France.”
